HOME CENTERED RETREAT

Spiritual Exercises in the Ignatian Pattern

Through four sessions of orientation the retreatants are taught the methods of meditation and prayer developed by Saint Ignatius of Loyola. They are prepared for the prayer periods made at home, and guided in a spirituality that has nurtured the laity for centuries.

Week One
The daily meditations are on the subject of sin and conversion of life. On the seventh day the Sacrament of Reconciliation is available. For centuries people have traced the experience of true conversion of life to this first week of Spiritual Exercises.

Week Two
The entire concentration is on the public life of Jesus. The daily meditations made at home are an encounter with Jesus, healer, preacher, leader of the apostolic community. Be among the many who discover a new life of prayer in this week.

Week Three
Brings us to contemplation of the Passion of Jesus. The retreatant accompanies the Redeemer on the difficult paths from the Last supper, into the Garden of Olives, the Courts of the Trials, Calvary, and the Tomb. Experience and understand the love of God for you in a profound opening to the Passion of Jesus.

Week Four
The Risen Lord Jesus is the focus of each prayer time. Join all those who since the 16th century, have completed the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola and entered on a path of holiness and evangelization.
